I record the rhythm of each day with a time card.
From waking to sleeping, I punch each shift of action, walking, writing, reading, cooking, moving.
Each punch becomes a trace of life, a way of experiencing the present through motion.
Between one punch and the next, I am free — not pursued by time, but immersed in it.
The sound of the stamp feels like a heartbeat, a pulse of living itself.
Tehching Hsieh used the time clock in a linear way, as a one-year project.
I approach it differently. I do not see time as linear.
It moves in cycles, yet never returns to the same point.
By recording this circulating life, I record my own continuous movement,
trace of my motion itself.
