ABOUT
Dai Asano (b. 1996, Mie, Japan) is a Japanese artist. His performance practice delves into the experience of time: 間—Ma, in-between, which he perceives not as a moment but as a motion. Rooted in Kitaro Nishida's concept of "pure experience," Asano's theoretical approach explores the state before the separation into self and object. Asano is graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design with an MFA in Photography, holds a B.A. in Business Ethics from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan.
