Dai Asano (b.1996, Japan) is an artist working with time and space. His work delves into the experience of time rooted in Kitaro Nishida's “Pure Experience,” Asano's theoretical approach explores the state before the separation into self and others.
He has participated in the International Summer Residency at the Watermill Center in New York and presented his work at the Annual Summer Benefit at the Watermill Center, Microscope Gallery, the dye house, and so on. Asano received an MFA in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design and a B.A. in Business and Commerce from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan.------------------
