About

Dai Asano (b. 1996, Japan) is an artist based in New York. After studying business and working in corporate Japan, he left this path to pursue Fine Arts at the Rhode Island School of Design, where he developed a practice focused on blurring the boundary between life and art. Although his background is in photography, his work centers around time not as something to capture but as something to experience. Through interventions in everyday life, especially in the urban landscape, Asano creates participatory, ephemeral experiences that engage with the present.
