Bio
Dai Asano is a New York–based Japanese artist working in performance, sound, and installation. His practice explores the present as a physical movement, seeking to activate it through site-responsive interventions. Although he was trained in Photography dept at Rhode Island School of Design, his approach toward present goes opposite, rather than capturing it, he lets it go.
He received an MFA from RISD in 2024. His work has been presented at various sites, including the Watermill Center, Microscope Gallery, and the Dye House, among others.
